Our Experience With Different Types of Customers in the Jewelry Business

Running a jewelry business in Bali has introduced us to a diverse range of customers over the years. Each one brings a new story, a new challenge, and sometimes even a surprise.

We want to share a few of those experiences—because if you’re reading this, you might see yourself in one of them.

The Difficult Customer

Yes, we’ve had them. Some customers complain about the most minor details and never want to understand the complicated process behind making jewelry. Others respond slowly to our messages—until suddenly they need something urgently, and then everything has to be rushed.

In rare cases, we’ve even faced situations we couldn’t control—like when a customer sadly passed away, leaving us only with an automatic email reply. Or when a corporation sold its business to a new owner, but the new owner refused to take on the debt from the previous owner.

The Loyal and Supportive Customer

Thankfully, not all stories are like that. Some of our best customers have been with us for more than a decade—even though we’ve never met in person. They trust us, support us, and continue to work with us year after year.

We’ve also had customers who give tips or bonuses when our work is delivered on time and exceeds expectations. That kind of appreciation means a great deal to us—it motivates our team to improve every day, continually.

So, What Type of Customer Are You?

Every customer is unique, and every relationship is essential. Whether you’re easygoing, detail-oriented, or somewhere in between, we’re here to listen, adapt, and make sure your jewelry needs are met with quality and care.

So, what type of customer are you?
We’d love to find out.
